This feature enables you to limit which user content groups can view certain sessions. This ensures participants see only the content most relevant to them, thus creating a clearer and more user-friendly experience.
1. Restricted Session Information
When enabled, session information is restricted in the following locations:
- Session pre-registration shown during ticket registration
- When using the [Table view] agenda display, session locations will also be hidden if there are no sessions to display for the selected ticket’s content group.
- The [Programs] tab on the event page
- Similar to above, when using the [Table view] agenda display, session locations will also be hidden if there are no sessions to display for the selected user's content group.
- Hidden sessions will not be displayed even when the applicable [Session tag] filters are selected.
- Speaker profiles displayed on a Basic LP
<attention>While session information can be restricted, any videos linked to those sessions cannot. Although any viewer can watch the video content itself, use the session viewing restrictions to hide the session information (name, description, etc.) and CTA that appear below the session video.</attention>
2. Setting Session Viewing Restrictions
① Navigate to [Contents]>[Sessions] and click [Edit] for the [Session viewing restrictions] setting.
② Click “On” and then [Save] to close. The default setting is “Off.”
③ When set to “On,” the [Viewable content groups] setting appears in the session detail drawer.
3. Setting Which Content Groups Can View Session Info
From [Contents]>[Sessions], create a new session or select one and click [Edit].
In the [Viewable content groups] field, select which user content groups can view the session information.
Click [Create]/[Save] when finished.
<attention>By default, no content groups are selected when the [Session viewing restrictions] setting is enabled. Be sure to update the selection for each session.</attention>
You can confirm and change each user’s content group via the Attendee and Exhibitor [User list] tabs.
4. Additional Notes
- Session viewing restrictions can be changed at any time, including turning the restrictions on and off.
- Sessions for which a user has already registered will remain visible via the [My Sessions] filter on the [Programs] tab, even if the viewing restrictions are changed such that they would normally be unable to view the sessions.
- If a user unregisters from a session they would normally be unable to view via the restriction settings, they will no longer be able to view that session.
- Admins can change user session registration status via the event management page, even if those sessions would normally be affected by viewing restrictions. See the following article for details: Updating a User’s Session Pre-registration Status
