Use the multitrack feature to stream video content to multiple stages of the event page. After a video stream ends, participants remain on their respective tracks, enabling a seamless transition from one stream to the next while on the same stage.
1. Setting up Multitrack Video Streaming
Enabling multitrack streaming
From [Contents]>[Video streaming], click [Edit] for the [Multitrack] setting.
<tips>This option is off by default.</tips>
Select [On] and click [Save].
Create a track
Click the newly appeared [Track] tab and click [Create new].
Enter a [Track name] and click [Save]. Each track name in an event must be unique.
Set the track display order
Drag and drop the tracks to rearrange their display order on the event page's [Stage], as shown in the example below.
2. Assigning a Track to a Video Stream
Set a video stream's track when creating the stream or when editing, as outlined below.
Select a video stream from [Contents]>[Video streaming]>[Videos] tab and click the [Edit] button at the top right. Select one of the existing track options for the [Track] field and click [Save].
<attention>When setting multiple video streams to appear on the same track, an error message will appear when a stream's publish date/time overlaps with an existing stream on the same track. Adjust the timing of the video streams or select a different track.
</attention>
Once set, a video's track will display on the [Video streaming] tab.
3. Multitrack Video Streaming on the Event Page
<attention>When the [Multitrack] feature is enabled, videos not assigned a track will not display on the event page.</attention>
While published: Hovering over the event page's [Stage] tab will display each stage and its current (or next upcoming) video stream.
After a stream ends: If there are additional video streams following on the same track, the [Stage] will automatically stream the next video on the track. If the next video is not scheduled to start yet, a "Coming soon" message will be displayed.
After a track finishes: When the last video stream of a track finishes, the track will be hidden from the [Stage] tab. If there are other tracks still available, the [Stage] will automatically switch to the next available track, according to the track display order set via [Contents]>[Video streaming]>[Track], as outlined in section two above.
4. Additional Notes
- The [Stage] tab will not display on the event page if none of the video streams have been assigned a track.
- Tracks will not display on the [Stage] tab until the day of the first stream's publish date.
- You can edit track names once created. You can only delete tracks with no video streams linked to them.
- Turning off the [Multitrack] setting will save the track settings for each video. Re-enabling the multitrack feature will return the video streams and tracks to their previous settings.
- You cannot preview video streams if the [Multitrack] setting is enabled, even when you have enabled [Staff settings] for the previewers. To preview video content, temporarily turn off multitrack streaming.
