You can place a call to action (CTA) below a session's video stream on the event page's [Stage] tab. The CTA contains customizable text and a hyperlink that you can use to encourage participants to respond to a survey, download resource materials, schedule a business meeting, etc. The EventHub platform collects data on which participants clicked these links for your reference and analysis.
This article outlines setting a CTA for a video stream channel connected to a session.
1. Setting a CTA
Navigate to [Contents]>[Sessions] on the event management page. Select the session to which you want to add a CTA, and click [Edit].
Set the [Connect Video Channel] field to "Connect", and select one of the available video stream channels set up via [Contents]>[Video Streaming]. You can only add a CTA to a session if it has a connected video channel.
Set the [CTA below video] field to "Enable" to reveal additional fields. Reference the table below for an overview of the fields. Click [Save] when finished.
Field | Required/Optional | Description |
URL | Required | The link that opens when a user clicks the [Link Text] |
Link text | Required | The URL's hyperlink text Character limit: 30 |
Message | Optional | A message that is displayed in front of the [Link Text] Character limit: 54 |
2. Confirming CTA User Clicks
Lead reports contain data on whether users clicked CTA links on the event page. The report uses "TRUE" or "FALSE" in the "CTA Below Video Clicked" columns to specify whether a participant clicked a CTA link. Reference the following article for additional information: Lead Report
3. Additional Notes
- Deleting a session will also delete its CTA and any user information collected for the CTA.
