When an event email has not been successfully delivered, the “Email Status” on the attendee or exhibitor [User List] shows as “Bounced.”
Possible reasons for a bounced email include the following:
- The email address is incorrect, contains typos, or does not exist.
- The email was sorted as spam.
- The email server security software rejected the email.
- The recipient’s in-house network security rejected the email.
- The email address is invalid, violating RFC email standards.
Event participants with a “Bounced” email status will lose access to some functionality, such as being unable to receive further emails sent via the EventHub platform.
